The final layout for the cover illustration for the cover of The Red Dragon Inn card game. The logo will cover the upper third so I avoided adding a lot of extraneous detail. Unfortunately the cool dragon skull on the mantle will be covered up as well but I had to draw one.
A relatively unknown member of King Arthur's round table. When most of the questing knights failed to return from the quest for the grail, Arthur's faithful cat took up sword and shield and struck out into the wild for king and country!
I've had a couple of fish sculptures that I never got around to finishing so I figured I'd dig them out and finish them. I put the fin spines on this guy tonight and will put the fins on him tomorrow. He's not nearly as big as my Red Snouted Spinyfish (see my website, under sculpture) so scaling him won't be such a huge undertaking either. No football to watch this weekend so he should be complete by next week.
Well I've decided I'm going to try and do a fish a day for a full year, we'll see how long that lasts. I'm already a few behind. I did this fellow while sketching with the Houston-based Sketch Klubb (parental discretion is advised) Saturday morning. It was good meeting the guys.
I'm currently working on a setting map for Captain Bogg & Salty's new album entitled "Frogg Island". It is a lot of fun working on it. I plan on posting in-progress sketches and layouts as I go along. The temple is one of the most prominent features and where the island takes it's name so I figured I'd tackle it first. The Fort Tree is just another cool feature of the map.
