This is a print I got ready especially for Staple! I have finally figured out my printer and these came out awesome (if I do say so myself). It will be a limited run of 50, 11x17 on archival matt paper. Contact me or leave a comment if you'd like one. Perceptive people will notice this is the same girl that was adorned with nazi gear for my work on Imperial Lance (see my website for the actual image). I liked her so much I replace the luger with a skull, added some wings, removed the nazi officer's hat and gave her a mad tangle of hair. Viola!
For those two or three people who look at this blog and don't know, I will be at Staple! this weekend. It's a small one day independent comic com here in Austin. I'll have prints, sketchbooks, and the remaining t-shirts I have for sale (which I think are all large lady shirts so if you a large lady look me up). I'm really looking forward to it. If for nothing else to hang out with all the other cool ass artists. So if you're in the area come on by and say howdy. I'll try and remember to take my camera and take some pics to post here. I usually suck at this task but we shall see. Word.
A sketch for a new game concept.
I was torn between snout fish or beergut fish. Also looks like I got a greenlight for my first solo show at Amy's Ice Cream on 6th Street here in Austin in May. It's going to be (get ready for some serious originality) "The Fish Show". Fish sculpture and drawings galore. Yee haw.
A werewolf I did for the weekly sketch blog. I picked the topic this week because I've been wanting to do a werewolf for awhile. I wasn't too pleased with this guy but I make it a rule to try and do the weekly sketch blog stuff fast and fresh. I'lll do some more werewolf sketches when we meet this week methinks...
My sketch for the weekly sketch group, the topic was "Childhood Fears". Yeah that's me at the bottom.
Here's an eel for ya Paul.
This guy is amazing. The capacity of mankind to perform acts of astounding ability never ceases to amaze me.
I noticed that most (almost all) of my fish have underbites. I guess I have a propensity for this with everything I draw (fish, dragons, etc...) so I decided to do a fish with just the opposite. I'm trying to not get into a certain pattern with these guys so if anyone has a suggestion for a new fish, lemme have it.
When I first sketched this guy's profile (see inset) I wasn't too thrilled with it, but I used it anyway and as it turned out he's now one of my favorites.
After sitting next to Thomas (aka Goatboy) at Starbucks watching him work I had the irresistible urge to draw a bionic girl with a big, square-bladed sword and tentacles.
A quick sketch I did while hanging with the sketch group Thursday night at Starbucks.
Well I haven't posted in a few days because I've been busy with this and I am very glad to see it to fruition. When I started doing work for Slugfest Games a little over a year and a half ago I had never done any work digitally and I feel like this piece shows how I have progressed. I'm excited to do some more stuff along these lines.
My favorite part of this piece is the pipe-smoking, little, elf/hobbit guy on the left, he came out pretty well.
Okay I've decided I'm going to try and name these guys, we'll see how original I can be.
Suberbowl today, whoo hoo!
